In the game, Mike Haggar enlisted Cody and his best friend to battle the Mad Gear gang and rescue his daughter, Jessica.

A later version called Final Fight Guy replaced Cody with Guy and explained his absence. The game was sold in stores in Japan and was a rental only at Blockbuster in America.
