Lewis Galoob Toys was founded in 1957 by Lewis and Barbara Galoob as a small distributor of toys and stationery. Galoob’s first toy success was the reintroduction of a battery-powered Jolly Chimp that banged cymbals and nodded his head when activated. Galoob went on to manufacture some of the most iconic toys of the 1980s, including Micro Machines, The A-Team, and Ghostbusters.
